Photography has been a life long passion and hobby that passed through several phases beginning with street photography when I was in my teens. I obviously started in the world of film and chemistry, and gradually came into the world of digital imaging. Automation and digital imaging opened a whole new creative dimension for me. I no longer had to pay close attention to technical issues like focusing and setting exposure and so I could now put my full attention on the subject and my perception of it and how I wanted it rendered. I love early morning walks along several local trails and I carry a camera to photograph both Wildlife and scenic views that I come across. This shot was taken on one of those walks. The deer seemed interested in observing me and that is not all that common. Deer usually tend to be spooked by people even in areas where the deer encounter people on a regular basis. But this one had a very interesting look about him. It was as if he were watching me well before I spotted him.
